North Norfolk
Date: June 15th 2024.
As June 16 this year is Father’s Day, I thought I would go and visit mum and dad at Sculthorpe. The plan was then to go up to the coast and visit one or two places that were not familiar to me. I started out early as the weather forecast was fine until midday and then heavy showers would arrive in the afternoon. 3/4 quarters of the way through the journey I stopped at the Waitrose superstore in the Swaffham. I purchased some flowers and a small rosebush.
Photographically I had no great objectives for the day, I took my small Fuji film 100 with me to take pictures as I walked around. I also took my long zoom in case I ended up at any of the wildlife reserves along the coast.
I arrived at Saint Mary’s church Sculthorpe at around 9 am, this is where mum and dad and many of my family are resting. Everything was immaculate. The graveyard was very well-maintained, I placed the small roses bush on Mum and Dads grave, and the cut flowers on my Uncle Wills. Stayed for a short time and then it started to rain, so I said goodbye.
I headed up towards the coast, the original plan was to go to the Clay wildlife centre, however it was still very overcast and still raining so I changed my client and headed straight for Blakeney.
